To Kill a Mockingbird: Review Haiku

Yep, it still makes me
cry: "Miss Jean Louise, stand up.
Your father's passin'."

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. Harper, 1960, 336 pages.

Okay. I admit it--I just read it for the first time in January, 2007. What was I doing all those years, you ask? Raising two boys, mostly by myself. And after attending library school, I was lost of juvenile-literature land, enjoying every moment of it. Well, almost every moment of it. Now I'm back to reading adult books, and I really enjoyed this classic about two siblings growing up in that small Southern town and their relationship with their father.

Don't be ashamed. See that LIST on the right sidebar? Many of those are first reads, not re-reads. I think we all have books we won't admit we haven't read. :)
