Lucky you that when your List went from the original post to the sidebar, A VIEW FROM SATURDAY got pushed up to number 5! I read that book with certain 5th graders every spring to let them peek into the lives of interesting, atypical 6th graders. Plus, it's an amazingly woven story!

I do love it. I wish it had existed when I was an oddball sixth-grader myself. . .
